Adhd a Curable Problem

If you have seen a child that who seems to be allergic to his chair (he does not stay on it). Or probably you have also seen children who just cant focus on what you are saying or have a short attention.

You might think that it is normal for them because they are children. Well you are wrong; they must probably have a condition called the Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder or simply, ADHD.

This is shown by what is mentioned above namely, low attention and hyper activity. Not all children have ADHD. You dont want this condition to be there, it is a psychological disorder.

Though this condition attacks the children most often, it can be carried to adulthood also. In the beginning of year 2000, statistics show that a dramatic increase in the number of cases of ADHD has been noted in the United States.

ADHD can affect the areas of our brain that is in charge for planning, solving problems, understanding and attention. This can only last for certain number of months, yes in other words, this condition can be treated.

But if you are taking it for granted, it will also manifest until the child becomes adult and for sure it will be another burden. Though this condition is common to children, not all children who manifest the symptoms have ADHD. If the child shows the behaviors in a certain place, it may be due to his reaction to school activities or friends, not from the actual disorder.

ADHD is often shows when a child experiences a sudden change like family problems, death, divorce, hearing problems due to ear infection and school problems.

There are many types of management for ADHD. One is through medicine which targets to control the behavior of the child. Another is through Psychological therapy which includes cognitive behavioral therapy, family therapy and interpersonal psychotherapy. Others include also some diet modifications and the new trend called EEG Biofeedback, this is to control the impulsive and the childs less attention span.

ADHD can be cured, thats the bottom line. Only that we have to watch our children carefully and if something strange is being shown, have them checked up as soon as possible. If not treated early, it may cause further damage.
