Calling off the wedding is terrible in it’s own, but suppose the two of you where married and your partner told you they are leaving you. At a minimum you avoided that situation with your fiance, because if they had been having doubts, they might have still left you later after the wedding.
What can cause such things to come about? You may not see any signs of a problem, but obviously there was something. Was it cold feet or second thoughts or did they find someone else? They might give you their excuse for breaking it off but it may not be the true reason.
Will I be able to get my fiance back you may ask? This decision would be very difficult for you at first. You would need to get past this heartbreak and it could take a few weeks. It may be best not to call your ex during this time begging them to come back. You can be sure they are feeling just as bad leaving you as you are feeling.
Take advantage of your family and friends to get through this. Do not sit at home all day and night feeling sorry for yourself, get out and do things to help take your mind off of it. You will never recover if you just hang out by yourself.
Any discussion you and your ex have now may turn into arguments and nothing will be solved. Waiting till you are thinking clearly will be your best bet. After a few weeks it may be ok to call them to see what they are thinking. Maybe they are having remorseful feelings and want to come back to you.
