One of the state of happiness is “present moment”, this is short-term and often seen as “pleasure”. And the other one is “contentment” happiness, which is about the whole of one’s life.
‘Present moment’ happiness is a feeling that you can experience when you are having a party, listening to a concert, etc. You feel delighted when you are doing that.
You may get contentment happiness when you are satisfied with your life in all the different aspects. Just as you have a good relationship, have enough to live on, with good health, or you have a fulfilling job. It is a long-lasting feeling of happiness instead of getting the passion of present moment happiness.
‘Contentment’ happiness can be achieved even when you are not grinning and thinking whether you are happy or not.
Sometimes we may not realize we are experiencing “contentment” happiness already. However when you looked back your life, you would find yourself having lots of good and happy moments.
What should you do to achieve happiness again if you are unhappy? First, it is crucial for you to know your own desire clearly. The second thing is to fight for it under your control. Bear in mind that you should not long for others’ help, as you are the only one who could make yourself happy.
Happiness is actually controlled by ourselves. We can be happy or unhappy, just depends on the way we read things around us, either positively or negatively.
