You may think that healthy eating for children requires a lot of work and preparation. This is far from the truth. There are many meals that you can prepare that are quick and easy and don’t require hours to make. It can be as simple as giving them fruit or veggies instead of a candy bar.

- Avoid frying or deep frying food, instead try baking or grilling to reduce the amount of oil that is used
- Limit the consumption of processed foods such as deli meats and canned goods, as those contain high amounts of salt
- Instead of using salt to add extra flavor to meals, use herbs and spices
- If possible, allow the children to help with the cooking. Kids are more willing to eat something they helped make.
