My Sister Wants to Donate in Lieu of Wedding Favors?

However, she wants to donate to a specific person, not charity or cause. I am looking for etiquette on this but can only find info on how to word cards and such. All sites point out choosing the appropriate charity but none talk about being specific.

As our mom pointed out, if she wants to help her friend with medical bills, she can do that personally. If she wants to donate, it should be general.

Any help would be appreciated.

Suggestion:

Asking you to give your money to another person of their choice goes so far above and beyond anything that is reasonable. I personally would be insulted if someone asked me to do that. I think I would probably just give it to the charity of my choice then say I misunderstood.
