Preparing Your Wedding Favors

Many people underestimate wedding favors and just how much work can go into them; as a consequence they are often left until the last minute to organize. Many options now exist to fit almost any budget and even timescale if you are in a hurry. Favors do not have to be stressful part of organizing the special day when there are other more important things that require your time.

Flowers are undoubtedly one easy wedding favor you can give to your guests. The preparation for flowers is almost non existent other than deciding on what flowers to use which can be ordered reasonably close to the big day.

Red roses always look attractive and of course they don’t have to be wrapped like many other flowers. It is simple to have these placed by the caterers on the day just prior to the wedding reception.

If you want to stick with a favorite easy wedding favor then use candy; it’s always a safe bet and it can be made to look attractive if nicely designed boxes or tins are used for storage. I like the idea that a number of receptions have started to use where the costly centerpiece is done away with completely. This method has been taken from an idea used by families at Christmas and uses a large glass bowl filled with different types of candy.

Supplying each wedding guest with a small tin or other presentation container so they can fill it with whatever candy they wish. All you have to do is let each guest have the option to take whatever candy they like and you won’t have anything more to do.

Although candy is popular, you may wish to give your guests a picture frame which is longer lasting and more useful. Wedding favors that do not require any type of presentation are generally preferred and there is something you can do with picture frames that will avoid this problem. By using the picture frames as placeholders provides a way around this, making it a gift that does not need to be wrapped.

An easy wedding favor that might appeal is to have the photographer take a digital picture of each guest and then present it to them at the wedding reception as they arrive. So to make sure each guest leaves with their photo, the photographer could take along a fast digital printer then they could be printed out while the guests are enjoying the reception. As most wedding photographs are in groups, a photograph with just one couple at a time showing them at their best would be a welcomed wedding favor. Many professional photographers have purchased small digital projectors so there is no reason why you couldn’t request one at the reception and this way your guests could see the images that had been taken during the day.
