The Emergency Bridal Kit – Every Bride’s Best Friend

An Emergency Bridal Kit is simply a little bag that a bride has on hand; either she carries it with her or one of her attendants can have the honor of holding it for the bride. The bride will keep this little bag with her throughout the entire day to help alleviate the worries of anything that could happen and having items on hand to deal with anything that does.

Below is a list of items that should be in every emergency bridal kit along with an explanation of what the items are for:

Headache and Nausea Remedies
Most brides can get very nervous on their wedding days. This can cause unwanted headaches or even an upset stomach or nauseous feeling. To offset these ailments, your emergency bridal kit should include headache remedies and nausea remedies such as ibuprofen or acetaminophen and some chewable antacids.

Smelling salts are useful for those who are feeling extremely light-headed or who may actually faint.

Some of your bridesmaids may experience any of these ugly onsets from being nervous also so having these items on hand will keep a minor incident from turning into a disaster.

Makeup & Other Touchup Items
The emergency bridal kit should include a small compact of translucent face powder and extra lip gloss for touching up makeup due to sweating and for moistening dry lips.

For those troublesome snags in pantyhose or stockings, use a small bottle of clear nail polish to seal the snags and keep them from turning into ugly runs. Invisibly reapply any rhinestones or other embellishments that may come loose from dresses with clear nail polish.

A small comb, hairbrush, a compact mirror and small travel sizes of hair spray and deodorant are excellent to have on hand for any necessary touchups during the day. And extra bobby pins will help for any hair crises or tightening up a loosening veil or headpiece.

Travel Size Sewing Kit, etc.
A travel size sewing kit with extra straight pins will give some added help to keeping corsages in place or even repairing a loosening bouquet.

And a travel size stain remover stick in your emergency bridal kit will help during the reception if someone has an unintended spill.

Again, having an emergency bridal kit on hand on what is the most special day of your life will keep any small mishap from turning into a disaster and possibly ruining your wedding day.
