What to Do to Celebrate a 40th Wedding Anniversary?

My siblings and I want to do something special for our parents 40th & we do not have a lot of money between us, but our family is quite large, so we know it will cost us. What are some nice ideas that will keep the overall price tag in check? The group size will probably be around 50 people.

Suggestion:

go out for a meal, some where reasonable and who can seat you all. Explain everyone will have to pay for their own meal, get numbers and book it. My uncle did it for his 60th birthday and it was great.
