Wickedly Fun Halloween Party Ideas

Halloween is the candy holiday of the year. If you are planning a party, remember to keep it simple but fun. It is also helpful to keep in mind who will be haunting your Halloween party. The following Halloween Party ideas may help.

With younger children in attendance at the party, your focus should be on the gross and not the scary. Some great treats to get you started along this line are cat litter cake along with gummy worm cupcakes.

To make the cake you will need a new as in never used kitty litter pan. Mix a yellow cake mix according to package directions. Add a little food coloring to make the cake look gray and bake according to directions. When cool crumble the gray cake into the kitty litter pan. Take small tootsie rolls and dip in warm water. Mix these throughout the cake. Use a new kitty litter scoop to serve.

For the gummy worm cupcakes, bake chocolate cupcakes according to package directions and frost with chocolate frosting. Sprinkle with crushed chocolate wafers. Use a chopstick to poke a hole in the cupcake and add gummy worms to look like they are crawling out of the dirt.

Use Jell-o as a base mix to make a slimy feeling punch that kids will love.

For teens, you will want to find scary ideas for your Halloween party. Most teens love the adrenaline rush of being scared silly and will have a good time if you offer plenty of scary sights. A good Halloween scary CD sets a great background for the party.

As for food, with teens the answer is yes, they will eat almost anything. Be sure that you provide plenty of soda and did I mention lots of food. You will be a hit.

If you are stuck with the adults for Halloween remember that they still like to play dress up. They may not enjoy the gross or scary but will appreciate you efforts tho provide themed snacks. Do not forget to have the Monster Mash playing in the background.

Adults appreciate the time you take to prepare such snacks as tombstones from chocolate covered Grahams or cakes decorated to look like Jack-O-Lanterns or witches. Be sure to provide some sugar free and low calorie snacks for guests that may have dietary restrictions.

Whoever you are entertaining this Halloween, remember that you should get to enjoy yourself too. Plan ahead and enlist plenty of help so that you are not so exhausted that you cannot enjoy the party.

Be sure that you have lots of candy ready for any trick or treating children.
